The DI Logo
One of my first projects at DI was this "informal" logo that could be used in place of the HBS standard logos. It was an interesting exploration of innovating within brand guidelines.
Most of the time, we used this version, which allowed us to build in a call to action of sorts
We would use this version when space was an issue, or in places where the website was featured prominently elsewhere.
Again I brought samples back to the team who helped me to refine and brainstorm new directions based on these parameters. The only compromise I had to make was creating the axis line slimmer than I would have chosen, in order to comply with the existing pipe on the HBS corporate logo. I wanted to push the design as far as it would go, and then brought these final versions back to the team. We then stripped everything back to the final product.
